I am always looking for inspiration around me. When I am walking the streets of NYC and beyond I look for interesting architecture, street life and art. I store all of these inspirations in my creative tool box to be use at a shoot that presents the right vibe. Dance has been one of my favorite art forms. The way the body moves and forms shapes, the energy and spontaneity is so beautiful. My very first time photographing anything was at a dance shoot 18 years ago. This trash the dress session explores dance, art and photography to create some very dramatic that stimulates the viewer. Maestro choreographer Kavita Rao from Karmagraphy killed it in her beautiful Dianne Diane Von Furstenberg dip dyed dress. Thanks to some kick ass lighting from Magnet Mod I was able to highlight Kavita against the beautiful Santa Barbara sunset. By the end of this shoot my beloved Canon gear was soaking wet and sandy but I really tested how reliable my equipment is. Go Canon and Kavita! Location Santa Barbara Four Seasons Hotel.
